CP sensitivity with B0(s)-> h+h- decays at LHCb

LHCb can collect large samples of B0-->pi+pi-, B0-->K+pi-, Bs-->K+K- and Bs-->pi+K- decays. The sensitivity achievable on the corresponding Bs-->pi+direct and mixing-induced CP-violating observables has been studied in detail. The combined measurement of the B0-->pi+pi- and Bs-->...

Sumario:LHCb can collect large samples of B0-->pi+pi-, B0-->K+pi-, Bs-->K+K- and Bs-->pi+K- decays. The sensitivity achievable on the corresponding Bs-->pi+direct and mixing-induced CP-violating observables has been studied in detail. The combined measurement of the B0-->pi+pi- and Bs-->K+K- CP asymmetries provides a promising strategy to determine the gamma angle of the unitarity triangle. The results of a study on the sensitivity on gamma achievable by employing this technique are presented and discussed.
