| Sumario: | A versatile network processor based module for the LHCb Data Acquisition system is presented. The architecture of the chosen network processor and its integration on a single board are discussed. Then the performance for various applications within LHCb is shown, where results have been obtained both from simulation and measurements. The applications of this module as a Readout Unit, a Front-end Multiplexer, a Main Event-Builder and as an elementary switching element are described in detail. |
