description A loss detection system is proposed here for the arcs of LHC. The detectors will be placed outside the cryostat along the short straight sections. This has been done with a detailed 3-D geometry of the half-cell and a Monte Carlo simulation of the shower computed by the code GEANT 3.21 [1]. The results show a complete independence of losses in both beam and determine the exact positions for the loss detectors.
