Tune Footprints for Collision Optics 5.0
Tune footprints show the tune shift with amplitude and define therefore the area in the tune diagram that will be occupied by the tunes of the particles in a bunch. Sumario: | Tune footprints show the tune shift with amplitude and define therefore the area in the tune diagram that will be occupied by the tunes of the particles in a bunch. By placing the footprint on the w orking point in a tune diagram one can then see whether the particles cross resonance lines or not. Here we give the footprints caused by head-on, and parasitic bunch crossings in the collision opt ics of LHC version 5.0. The footprints are calculated with MAD with a weak-strong model for the beam-beam interactions. model for the |
