Sumario: | During the last SPS MD period June-October, 2000 three experiments at 26 GeV have been carried out to measure resonance driving terms. Measurements of the detuning with amplitude and a linear coupling compensation have been done as well. The aim of these experiments was to test the technique proposed recently, which basically relates the non--linearities of the machine with the Fourier spectrum of turn by turn pick--up data. Since the SPS is a very linear machine we have used the extraction sextupoles to create a sizable amount of non--linearities. We have used the parasitic MD cycle (MESPS) which consists of a short single bunch at injection energy of 26 GeV. |
