description During the last SPS MD period June--October, 2000 only one experiment at 120 GeV has been made (22nd June 2000) to measure the resonance driving terms and their variations along the ring. We have also measured the detuning with amplitude and compensated the linear coupling. The overall aim of this kind of experiments is to establish this FFT based method to control nonlinearities and offer a tool ready for use in the control room for the day-to--day operation. Since the SPS is a very linear machine we have used the extraction sextupoles to create a sizable amount of non--linearities. We have used the SC230 supercycle, which consist of a LHC test beam (TSTLHC) with one batch. The batch is 2 ms long with 84 bunches each with 25 ns of bunch spacing. For this supercycle the BPM data are averaged over the full batch. The pick--up noise is thereby much reduced allowing for a much better analysis than from a single bunch as attempted in our 26 GeV experiments also performed this year.
