Measurement of resonant Terms using AC dipole in the SPS at 26 GeV

Theory predicts that resonance driving terms can be measured by adiabatically inducing a forced oscillation with a frequency close to the natural tune. this note describes the experiments carried out at the SPS to measure resonant terms using the damper as an AC dipole. Sumario:Theory predicts that resonance driving terms can be measured by adiabatically inducing a forced oscillation with a frequency close to the natural tune. this note describes the experiments carried out at the SPS to measure resonant terms using the damper as an AC dipole. First experimental results are shown including a comparison to the kick method.
