Asymptotic constraints on sigma e+e- total in asymptotically free theories
Using the analyticity properties of the vacuum polarization function we obtain conditions on the e/sup -/e/sup +/ total cross section from the behaviour of this function for spacelike directions where it is known in asymptotically free field theories. (3 refs).
