description | Recently some of the magnets in the transfer line PSB-CPS have been replaced by new magnets with laminated yokes and higher maximum current in the framework of the project "PS conversion for LHC". As the field of the BV1 and BV2 bending magnets affects the matching of the four beams from the PSB, detailed three dimensional models have been developed for predicting fields. The field models are compared to magnetic measurements and the influence of shims on the field is investigated. |
