Sumario:This note describes the evolution of a fission fragment (FF) detector already used in the FEAT experiment. The upgrading consists in the change of the dimensions and the improvement of the time response to achieve the highest counting rate. The aim of the project is the construction of a counter with 100 % efficiency and high background rejection suited to measure the shape of FF cross-sections and provide directly the anticoincidence for prompt gamma detectors.
