Sumario: | An optics with a phase advance of 101/45 degrees has been designedfor the use in polarization and energy calibration studies. It is shown that a somewhat better polarization degree is expectedfor this optics compared to the 60/60 polarization optics. The optics allows studying polarization and performing spectrometermeasurements up to the highest beam energies in LEP. In addition the chosen phase advances fulfill a condition for resonance-free lattices. In the considered design the arcs do not contribute to the driving terms of non-linear structural resonances of order below 5 (to first order in the relevant systematic multipole strength).Depolarizing spin resonances are essentially not affected by this property. |
