The millenium dump TIDVG commissioning - april 2000
The TIDVG has been redesigned to accept an upgraded proton beam of LHC injection energy and intensity. A more balanced distribution of energy deposition is achieved within the core. Graphite (about 90 kg) is used in this instance within the SPS vacuum chamber, for the first time.
