Sumario:Longitudinal beam stability is analysed for the LHC Beam in the SPS. The most critical area is shown to be the top energy. Analysis explains some results of measurements with the beam done d uring the MDs last year. The possibility of using this cycle for CNGS is considered as well. There, without special requirements on bunch parameters at extraction, the impedance limitations move to the lowest energy. An option with low transition energy is presented also.
