Effect of multipole errors in the quadrupoles in the CNGS proton beam line on the stability and effective size of the beam at the target
The aim of this study is to check by means of basic considerations and straightforward simulations whether multipole erros in the transfer line quadrupoles can affect the beam size and the stability of the beam at the target.
