Sumario:Dr Robert Aymar succeeded Professor Luciano Maiani as CERN's Director-General on 1 January 2004. At its 126th Session, chaired by Professor Maurice Bourquin, the CERN Council elected Professor Enzo Iarocci as the new President of Council. In his last presentation to the Council, Professor Maiani reported on CERN's activities during the year and on progress with the LHC Project.
