Sumario: | A study was performed on high precision laser spectroscopy of antiprotonic helium atoms. Antiprotonic helium is an exotic metastable three-body system consisting of helium nucleus, an electron and an antiproton. In the experiments at the CERN antiproton decelerator, the experimental values were compared with three-body quantum electro-dynamics calculations and it was deduced that the antiproton and proton charges and masses agree to within 6 multiplied by 10**-**8.
