Proposal for the award of a contract, without competitive tendering, for the supply of a 14.5 GHZ electron cyclotron resonance ion source

This document concerns the award of a contract, without competitive tendering, for the supply of a 14.5 GHz electron cyclotron resonance ion source for the "Ions for LHC" (I-LHC) project. For the reasons explained in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with CEA GRENOBLE (DRFMC/SBT) (FR), for the supply of a 14.5 GHz electron cyclotron resonance ion source for a total amount of 170 000 euros (266 492 Swiss francs), not subject to revision. The amount in Swiss francs has been calculated using the present rate of exchange. CEA GRENOBLE has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: FR - 80%; DE - 20%.
