Sumario: | A discussion about the CMS tracker 2002 test beam at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is presented. The impact on the CMS tracker performance of high-energy deposits resulting from nuclear interactions is studied. It is found that in order to estimate the highly ionizing particles rate, as well as the electronic induced deadtime, 12 silicon modules of different types are installed in the PSI pion beam line.
