Sumario:It was demonstrated that the current fractal studies of the universe suffer from lack of appropriate strategy of research. Based on speculative discussions, comparing the case with the known examples from condensed matter physics, and surveying the literature devoted to fractal analysis of the universe, the problems and future prospective of this area of research were clarified. According to Boltzmann’s strategy of theoretical physics, it is mentioned that pure mathematical consideration does not provide new knowledge to cosmology, instead the researches should lead to physical insights of fractal analysis of the universe. The role of the fractal dimensions for understanding cosmological theories was also described. Specifically, the problem of dark matter was investigated and suggested that the dark matter universe should be considered as the main universe.
