Sumario:The consequences of operating a superconducting 400 MHz LHC RF station on a revolution frequency sideband of the 400 MHz main RF frequency or modulating the RF voltage over one machine turn have been analyzed. It was found that the LHC RF system, designed to cover the standard operations, has intrinsic power limitations restricting the application range for these techniques.
