description This document concerns the extension of a frame contract for the supply and maintenance of modular electronics equipment for the detectors of CERN experiments. For the reasons set out in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of an extension to a frame contract with CAEN (IT) until the end of 2006, without any increase of the estimated total amount already approved by Finance Committee in document CERN/FC/4398 dated 14 March 2001 (7 500 000 Swiss francs). The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this award proposal: IT - 100%.
