Proposal for the award of a contract for provision of mechanical design and draughting services off the CERN site

This document concerns the award of a contract for the provision of mechanical design and draughting services off the CERN site. Following a market survey carried out among 62 firms in fifteen Member States, a call for tenders (IT-3213/EST) was sent on 19 January 2004 to eight firms, in seven Member States. By the closing date, CERN had received eight tenders from eight firms in seven Member States. The Finance Committee is invited to agree to the negotiation of a contract with ACROTECNA (FR), the lowest bidder, for the provision of mechanical design and draughting services off the CERN site for an amount of 489 373 euros (771 882 Swiss francs) for an initial period of three years starting on 1 July 2004, subject to revision for inflation from 1 July 2007. The rate of exchange used is that stipulated in the tender. The contract will include options for two one-year extensions beyond the initial three-year period. The firm has indicated the following distribution by country of the contract value covered by this adjudication proposal: FR - 100%.
