A systematic first principle method to study magnetic properties of FeMo, CoMo and NiMo

Sumario: | We use the first principle TB-LMTO (Tight-Binding Linear Muffin Tin Orbital) method combined with the ASM (Augmented Space Method) to take care of disorder beyond the mean field (CPA - Cohetent Potential Approximation) approximation. We analyze binary alloys between magnetic transition metals Fe, Co, Ni and non-magnetic Mo to find out the effect of disorder on electronic structure and consequently magnetic properties of the alloys. |
