TESLA digital hadron calorimeter (requirements, status and plans for R and D)
Gaseous detectors as candidates for the TESLA digital calorimeter are considered. Requirements for TESLA hadron calorimetry are formulated. Recent R and D results on resistive plate chambers and short drift tube chambers are described. Plans for further R and D are outlined.
