Jet Rejection for Electrons and Photons Using Track Isolation

Track isolation has been found to be an effective selection criterion for electrons and photons. In this note, an algorithm for electron and photon isolation is presented using regional track reconstruction. Efficiency versus jet reconstruction and CPU time analysis are reported for electrons. An extension of the electron algorithm is presented for photon isolation.
