Relative Light Yield comparison between laboratory and testbeam data for CMS ECAL PbWO4 crystals

We present here the results of an analysis performed on the data of the M0' testbeam of the summer 2002. We find an estimate of the number of photoelectrons (pe) per MeV in pairs of APDs attached to PbWO4 crystals in the final configuration for CMS. The comparison between the light yields measu...

description We present here the results of an analysis performed on the data of the M0' testbeam of the summer 2002. We find an estimate of the number of photoelectrons (pe) per MeV in pairs of APDs attached to PbWO4 crystals in the final configuration for CMS. The comparison between the light yields measured in laboratory and the ones at the testbeam shows an agreement within 4.5%. This result is of particular interest for the strategy of initial inter-calibration of the ECAL at CMS startup.
