description This document concerns the proposal to extend an existing contract for the maintenance of automated magnetic tape drives and libraries for experiment data. For the reasons explained in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to approve the extension of a maintenance and license contract with STORAGETEK (CH) for existing high-performance magnetic tape drives and libraries for experiment data for a total amount of up to 1 650 000 Swiss francs for a period of three years starting January 2005.
