description Space-time aspects of the Lund string model are discussed with respect to a spatial interpretation of the parameters of the correlation function. The importance of symmetrization of the full amplitude of the hadronization process , possible in the frame of the Lund fragmentation model, is emphasized. It is shown how the helix structure of the string, first derived from studies devoted to the emission of soft gluons at the end of the parton cascade, allows a simple and elegant description of 'correlations ' observed in multidimensional analyses of the Bose-Einstein effect. In addition, it is found that a helix structure of the string corresponding to an emission of soft gluons from a regularly spinning source is supported by the data, more precisely by the inclusive single-particle spectra measured in the hadronic decay of Z0.
