| Sumario: | The CMS calorimeter is a noncompensating calorimeter and has nonlinear response to jet energy. A 4 Tesla magnetic field in a tracking volume induces extra smearing of energy measurement by the calorimeter. Various algorithm to improve the measurement have been tested. A simple mapping of the calorimeter response to jets is implemented in the trigger and more sophisticated energy flow algorithm may be used at a later stage. (13 refs). |
