Sumario:This document concerns a proposal to negotiate an amendment to an existing contract for the supply of 96 additional austenitic steel end covers for the LHC. For the reasons explained in this document, the Finance Committee is invited to approve an amendment to an existing contract with the firm METSO POWDERMET (FI) for the supply of an additional 96 end covers for an amount of 427 380 euros (648 678 Swiss francs), not subject to revision, bringing the total to 9 891 857 euros (15 013 875 Swiss francs). The amount in Swiss francs has been calculated using the present rate of exchange.
