description | Pauli welcomes Bohr to London. When they learned about the events in Denmark, they were afraid for him and his wife and sons. They were glad to receive good news concerning Bohr and Harald. They do not know anything about the family, but hope that they are also safe in England. Pauli himself feels very well in Princeton and belongs to the few people in the world who can continue their scientific work during the war. He is a bit lonely, but he has a Swiss pupil and is expecting a Chinese student soon. His papers deal with the theory of the meson-field, and the last one is connected with the work of Rosenfeld and Møller. Life is very quiet for Pauli. After the war he will have to make difficult decisions about where he will live then. |
