The ISOLDE and REX-ISOLDE facility

An overview of the ISOLDE facility at CERN is being presented. Special emphasis is put to describe the ISOL technique and on-line chemistry in order to deliver isotopically pure elements to a vast assortment of experiments. Furthermore the REX-ISOLDE installation is presented. (9 refs).
