Sumario:In this thesis three Physics features of the SPD subdetector within the LHCb calorimetry system have been studied. The first feature is the simulation of the pulseshape signal of the SPD & PRS, the second is the optimisation of the L0 performance using the SPD & PRS information and the third is an improvement of the analysisi of the Bd -> J/psi(e+e-) Ks decay channel.
