The formation of high mass mesons

In Part I of the review, a brief introduction is given to nucleon- antinucleon formation. Part II covers the total cross-section, both the measurements and attempts to interpret the structure; Part III includes new data on charge exchange; and elastic scattering is reviewed in Part IV. Part V on annihilation into two mesons has new data and analyses. In Part VI, some states which have not been confirmed are listed for completeness, and Part VII gives the conclusions and future outlook. (38 refs).
