An analysis of topological cross-sections in p.bar.p interactions at 22.4 GeV/c

Sumario:The inelastic topological cross sections are found to be in agreement with expected behaviour at high energy. Average charged multiplicity at 22.4 GeV/c is (n/sub ch/)=4.69+or-0.05. The (n/sub ch/) /D=2.04+or-0.05 is comparable to the value of inelastic pp interactions at very high energies. The distribution of normalized multiplicity of inelastic pp interactions at 22.4 GeV/c is comparable to that of inelastic pp interactions at very high energy. (6 refs).
