Inclusive antilambda production in K/sup -/p interactions at 143 GeV /c

Sumario:The production of baryon-antibaryon pairs represents a small fraction of the inelastic cross-section in the energy range of several GeV. Of all antibaryons, the easiest to identify in a bubble chamber are antilambdas. Data obtained from an exposure of the 2 m CERN hydrogen bubble chamber to a K/sup -/ beam of 14.3 GeV/c momentum are presented. The reaction K/sup -/p to Lambda +anything is studied using events of all topologies with a visible V/sup 0/ which fitted unambiguously the decay Lambda to p pi /sup +/ with a probability greater than 0.1%.
