Sumario:A spin-parity analysis of the low-mass /sup 3/ pi system produced in the reaction pi /sup +/d to pi /sup -/ pi /sup +/ pi /sup +/d has been performed using data from an exposure of the CERN 2m bubble chamber to a pi /sup +/ beam of 4 GeV/c momentum. Unnatural parity states predominate, 1/sup +/ being much more significant than 0/sup -/ and 2 /sup -/. The J/sup P/=2/sup +/ contribution in the A/sub 2/ region was found to be (5+or-2)%. (9 refs).
