Are constant asymptotic total cross sections ruled out by high-energy experiments?
Argues the opposite, and provides a fit to the pp total and small-t differential cross sections in the CERN ISR region in terms of an alpha (0)=1 Pomeron pole and a corresponding two-Pomeron cut. The obtained value of the Pomeron slope is used to fit sigma (K/sup +/p) at FNAL energies. (14 refs).
