Sumario: | Elastic hadron-hadron scattering amplitudes are parametrized in terms of the impact-parameter Pomeron together with an exchange-degenerate pair of tensor and vector trajectories. This parametrization reproduces both the shrinkage of the pp and the antishrinkage of the pp diffraction peaks, and predicts that the ratio of elastic to total proton-proton cross sections should increase by 7% in the CERN ISR energy range.
