Sumario: | The pulse power supply for the bending magnets and the quadrupole lenses with a peak output of 12 MW operates with static converters which are directly connected to the 18 kV network. New static compensation equipment has been developed to prevent disturbances from being fed back into the supply network. Following a short description of the mode of operation of the booster, the article explains the requirements facing such a power supply in detail. The most important parts of the plant are also listed. (5 refs). |
