New results in $\pi\pi$ scattering

Results are presented on pi pi scattering from several experiments including new unpublished data from the CERN Munich group. pi pi phase shifts between threshold and 1.8 GeV pi pi mass are given and a value of (0.44+or-0.1)m/sub pi //sup -1/ is determined for the I=0 s-wave scattering length. Sumario:Results are presented on pi pi scattering from several experiments including new unpublished data from the CERN Munich group. pi pi phase shifts between threshold and 1.8 GeV pi pi mass are given and a value of (0.44+or-0.1)m/sub pi //sup -1/ is determined for the I=0 s-wave scattering length. The existence of high mass states above the g meson is suggested from a study of K/sup +/K/sup -/ and pp distributions. (21 refs).
