Tune shifts for particle beams crossing at small angles in the low-$\beta$ section of a storage ring
The linear tune shift of a particle crossing an azimuthally uniform, cylindrically symmetric Gaussian beam is evaluated to first order in the line density, taking into account the variation of the amplitude function beta through the crossing region. (6 refs).
