| Sumario: | Main Hungarian contributions to particle physics research since the 1950's are outlined. Experimental work at high energies is carried out at Dubna, USSR and CERN. Topics of present investigations include the interaction of 40 GeV negative pions with propane and the strong scattering and weak decay of neutral kaons. Significant contributions have been made in the theoretical field i.e. attempts at unifying e.m. and weak interactions. |
