Sumario: | Proton and pion distributions and multiplicities are analysed in a two-component model in which the diffractive component is given on the basis of the pionization component by assuming that a pomeron-particle collision behaves as a particle-particle collision. For the pionization component a simple but general ansatz with leading nucleons is used. Particular attention is given to analyzing the dependence of the diffractive pion spectrum and multiplicity on the behaviour of the throughgoing proton. Nucleon-nucleon, pion-pion and pion-nucleon correlations are considered. Single particle distributions are compared with experimental data from CERN ISR. (27 refs). |
