Sumario: | Fast radiochemical separations have permitted detailed and high resolution measurements of neutron and gamma -ray spectra from several delayed neutron emitting systems. The apparent discrete line structure in delayed neutron spectra, high intensity neutron branching to excited states in decay of intermediate levels in the emitter, and the peaking in the beta /sup -/-decay intensity to regions well above the neutron binding energy, indicate persistence of distinct nuclear structure effects at excitation energies of 5-7 MeV in the emitter nuclides. |
