High-spin level systematics and the existence of triaxial shapes in odd-mass $^{125-133}$Ba

High-spin levels in odd-mass /sup 125-133/Ba nuclei excited by the reaction Sn(/sup 12/C,3n) have been studied using in-beam gamma -ray spectroscopic methods. Negative-parity states (h/sub 11/2/ system) and positive-parity states (g/sub 7/2/ system) have been identified. The experimental results are...

Sumario:High-spin levels in odd-mass /sup 125-133/Ba nuclei excited by the reaction Sn(/sup 12/C,3n) have been studied using in-beam gamma -ray spectroscopic methods. Negative-parity states (h/sub 11/2/ system) and positive-parity states (g/sub 7/2/ system) have been identified. The experimental results are in agreement with the predictions of the triaxial core model.
