Sumario: | Radial velocities, projected dimensions, emission-line strengths and brief morphological descriptions are given for fourteen southern galaxies, not before recognized as emission objects. None are bona- fide Seyfert galaxies, but several show moderately broad lines. NGC 2915 is a nearby, intergalactic H II-region (V/sub 0/=177 km s/sup -1 /). The galaxies are all close to the galactic plane, ( mod b/sup II/ mod <20 degrees ), and some are heavily obscured. (10 refs). |
