Sumario: | Apparatus is described in F.W. Busser et al. (see Phys. Lett, vol.5613, p.482 (1975)). Direct electron production is studied in p-p collisions at the CERN ISR. Cross sections for the process are measured for various nth root s and rho /sub T/ values, and compared with the pi degrees cross section. Correlations with hadron production are investigated. Comparisons are made with the calculated contribution of the J/ Psi to the direct electron signal, and with the upper limits for e/sup +/e/sup -/ pairs in the mass range 0.3-0.8 GeV /c. (6 refs). |
