Factorization in the inclusive reactions pp to Lambda +X/sup ++/ and K /sup +/p to Lambda +X/sup ++/

The comparison of the structure functions on the Chew-Low plot shows that the factorization hypothesis is satisfied at the approximately 10% level when the momentum transfer from the proton to the Lambda is less than 1 (GeV/c)/sup 2/.
