Meson productions at large transverse momentum in core-valence parton model
A quark parton model with an impulse approximation is presented for describing from small momentum to large momentum phenomena in inclusive reactions. Sumario: | A quark parton model with an impulse approximation is presented for describing from small momentum to large momentum phenomena in inclusive reactions. An annihilation process by quark-antiquark collision and a pair creation process by gluon-gluon collision are assumed to be dominant. By making use of these two diagrams the authors can explain the particle ratios in addition to the various large p/sub T/-distributions at FNAL and CERN-ISR. Model calculations suggests that gluon collisions are playing an important role as well as quark-antiquark annihilation process. (24 refs). |
